Mustaqbal -School Nature Clubs Project |
The Mustaqbal (“Future”) School-Based Nature Clubs Project aims to engage the young generation in environmental stewardship and ecosystem restoration in Galkacyo. Through the establishment of three new school clubs at Ilays School, Israac School, and Ahmed Guray School, students actively participate in tree planting and school clean-up campaigns. The project has distributed 2,000 Moringa and Leucaena chromophora seedlings for students to plant both within their schools and at their homes, fostering hands-on learning and personal connection to nature. By targeting youth, the project seeks to cultivate environmental awareness, instill sustainable practices, and empower future community leaders to contribute to ecosystem restoration and cleaner, greener communities. |
