Horn Nature Conservation promotes sustainable water and land management to address land degradation, water scarcity, and climate vulnerability across Somalia. Recurrent droughts, floods, and unsustainable land-use practices have severely impacted soil health, agricultural productivity, and access to water for both people and ecosystems.
We support communities to adopt sustainable land management and water conservation practices that restore degraded landscapes and improve resilience. Our work includes promoting efficient water use, rainwater harvesting, soil conservation, erosion control, and land restoration approaches that protect natural resources while supporting livelihoods.
